George King Abercrombie passed away peacefully at Edgewater Care Home on 26 April 2025, aged 94 years. George will be dearly missed by family and friends. His loving family held a service at Resthaven Funerals on 2 May, to celebrate his legacy of family strength, community service and professional success. George’s wish to donate his body to the Medical School at the University of Auckland has been honoured. Eventually his ashes will be united with his beloved wife, Ethel
