Sidney Harold (Sid) Doherty

Born in Marton 23 August 1939 – Died Auckland 6 November 2025 at Middlemore Hospital after a brief illness.  Motorcycle racer, vehicle builder and electrician.  Much loved father and father-in-law to Kim, Fiona and Jason, Sean and Catherine, Susan and Daniel and Matthew and Aileen.  Dearly loved Poppa to Leigh and Kristy, Rochelle, Shaan and Ally, Emma and Jade.  Great Grandpop and Poppa to Isabelle, Liam, Olivia, Franc, Millie, Maeve, Declan, Arniekay, Maddie and Joshua.  Special brother and brother-in-law to Robert and Repecca (both deceased), Jim (deceased) and Glenis, Anne, Terry and Heather, Judy and Lindsey and John.  Caring uncle and friend of many.  A service will be held for Sid at Manukau Memorial Gardens, 361 Puhinui Rd, Wiri on Wednesday 12 November at 11am.  Forever in our hearts, Rest in Peace Sid.
