Michael Hammond

Hammond, Michael John (Mike). Passed peacefully on 9 July,2026 aged 90 years surrounded by his beloved family. A loving husband and soulmate of Helen for 62 years, greatly missed by his children and their partners Clare and Steve, Catherine and John, Rachel and Dave, Patrick, Paul, Michael and Ginni. Caring grandpa/pappi to Josh, Faith, Iris, Lucy, Rosie, Xavier, Edith, Emily and Lucas. Special thanks to the wonderful medical staff in Ward 5, Middlemore Hospital over the past 4 weeks. A requiem funeral to honour Mike’s life will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Picton Street, Howick on Monday 20 July at 10.30am.
